Founder’s Story and Mission

Lu Simao, originally from Brazil living in Maryland since 2005, without speaking any English, found her first job opportunity in the house cleaning industry. Working as a cleaning tech for years, saw and experienced many things and learned a lot about the expectations of customers and employees. In 2010, took courage and opened her own business, bringing to it everything she learned.
Today she is very grateful for the relationship she have not only with her clients but also with her employers and knows this is reciprocal.

Mission: Continuously seek improvement, ensuring high-quality services for her costumers and a positive work environment for her employees.
She believes that happy employees deliver a high-quality work, witch is a core goal for Powerful Hands Cleaning Squad, LLC.

Powerful Hands Cleaning Squad did an amazing job making every corner of our house beautiful. With two giant floofy doggos that shed a lot, they worked their magic to remove every piece of dog hair in the house! They also were subjected to significant SNIFF SNORFFAGE and BORKING by the dogs.

I think it’s important to point out how patient the team was with our intimidating German Shepherd named Layla barking at them. They were patient and thoroughly explained to her that they were only there to help tidy things up. After treat negotiations and petting, Layla trusted them. More importantly, my wife and I trusted them to do an amazing job cleaning our house while being comfortable around our two crazy doggos. Aspen, our other dog, was happy they found a long-lost toy, and LOVES them. They keep asking us when Powerful Hands Cleaning Squad, LLC will be back. Two weeks, puppers.

    Several factors will determine the cost to clean your home, among them are size, pets, number of people living in the home, service frequency and of course the general condition. Powerful Hands Cleaning Squad, LLC offers a free in – person estimate to provide you with a custom quote to clean your home.

    We always start recurring cleanings off a thorough deep cleaning. This gets your home in top-notch condition and ready for us to maintain the level of cleanliness.

    Payments are due after work is completed.

    At Powerful Hands Cleaning Squad we accept cash, check, credit card, Zelle and Venmo. For some payments methods
    fees and taxes may apply.

    Cards We Acept:

    Absolutely, at Powerful Hands Cleaning Squad we love having them around but it’s up to you to decide if then can be around us or not. What we want is to know they are comfortable wherever they are.

    Simply contact us 48 business hours before your next appointment so we can schedule additional time for our team to complete the extra tasks during your home cleaning. Additional charges will apply.

    No problem!
    We just ask you 48 hour notice before your appointment and we will be gladly to cancel or reschedule your appointment to a time works best for you. If your cleaning is scheduled for Monday, please notify us by Friday as our office is closed on weekends. If we receive less than 48 hours notice, a late cancellation fee of 50% of your regular cleaning fee will apply.

    You will be contacted with the new date of your clean. Every effort will be made to adjust schedules in order to get all homes cleaned in the same week they were orinally scheduled.

    We offer everything to deliver the best cleaning service your home deserves. All you need to provide is trash bags.
    If you have a specific cleaning product you would like our team to use, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate your request.

    Yes, by e-mail, upon request.

    We’re no longer playing the key-holding game for your home or property. So, we kindly ask you to consider other options such as keyless entry, a lockbox, or a garage code. If you want to go old school, a key under the mat works too.

    Although we treat your home with the utmost care, we acknowledge that accidents can happen. Our team is trained to report all damage to the office immediately and we will contact you right away. We’re fully insured to cover any claims, and for minor mishaps, we’re ready to replace or reimburse for any items that may have been damaged.

    However, it’s worth noting that we can’t take responsibility for precariously hung pictures, teetering light fixtures, or wobbly fans. We’ll label it a ‘no-touch’ item to avoid any potential heartaches. If you have any irreplaceable collectable or expensive objects, we ask that those items be properly secured or put away in order to avoid accidents.

    We always try our best to came in the exactly time our costumers choose, but If we have any changes to make us came early or late we will always let you know ASAP. Weather, traffic and the preceding home-cleaning sometimes slow us down. If you require an appointment at a specific time we will need to schedule it for first cleaning of the day. Some houses take longer than others and we don’t want a team to leave before it is completed in order to keep an appointment with another customer.
    Our first appointment of the day is at 8:00am and our last appointment is no later then 4:00pm.

    We make every attempt to send the same cleaning team, however we may have to switch personnel in the event of an illness or vacation. When we send a substitute, you can be assured that we are sending a skilled, trained technician.
    The teams carries specific instructions about what they need to do in each house.

    We are a non-discriminating employer and have a diverse, multi-cultural staff. Communication is very important to us. Thus, we ask our clients to contact us to relay any notes or requests. We add this information to the team’s work orders, our teams are in touch with the office via cell phone throughout the work day.

    Absolutely! Tipping is never expected, but always appreciated.

    Due to the risks and worries that COVID-19 poses for all of us, we want to assure you that we are taking all the precautionary measures to keep you and our employees safe.. We practice hygiene when entering your home by wearing gloves, booties and masks during cleanings. We are also checking in with our teams to make sure they are healthy and safe to continue with our work. We kindly ask that our customers also notify us if a family member is sick.
